
I don’t know if it was the dress I was wearing but the other day 3 people asked me if I was pregnant again! Woooow! Hold on there! That was my first reaction. But my second reaction was – I must be looking fat. I have to work out!
The thing about me – I’ve been working out since I remember. First, you know, sports at school and extracurricular Taekwon-do and swimming lessons. Then I would use Jane Fonda video tapes (remember those?!) and workout in front of my TV. Jane Fonda was wearing those one piece suits over her smug pants – hilarious! Then I started aerobics, then the gym and running. I felt like the triathlon diva. It all changed when I got pregnant, I really didn’t know what I could and couldn’t do, but when I figured it out the body sculpting and belly dancing began!
And now I needed to work out again! My absolute favorite workout training was Les Mills Body Pump and I desperately searched the web for a home video so that I could do it in the comfort of my own four walls and so that I could do it immediately. And I found it!
It felt so great to do a regular workout again! With abs and everything. It’s been almost 8 months since my daughter was born and my midwives said that they do not encourage weight lifting, etc in the first months of being a new mother. So that was my first REAL time.
As I am writing this my muscles feel sore in this enjoyable way that make you feel alive. Oh yeah, that’s the stuff!
