A Vacation From Being A Mama

Is it even possible? To take time out as a mom? And I’m not a mom to just any infant – I’m a mom to a breastfed little girl with whom we often co-sleep. She misses her mama after about 2 hours of being away.

But I made it work.

We made it work.

I really owe it to my lovely husband. He would come up the slopes with our baby for lunch – so she had a cuddle and a feed. And he took care of her wonderfully.

And I could ski. When I ski something magical happens.

I stop being a mama.

I stop being a wife.

I’m no longer Polish.

Or Italian.

Or a blogger.

Or a business woman.

Instead – I am free.

Like a bird.

It’s just the slope, the wind, the sun and me – dancing with the mountain.

In this very moment.

Then I get back to the hotel room and love the loves of my life even more than before, if that’s even possible.
