5 Top Birth Songs

Yes, I’m a freak, I managed to compile 500 songs for my birth playlist. But then I thought – hey, what if I had to make a CD and choose only around 20? So I did it and then I thought – there are really 5 that actually stand out and just make me want to be in labor and giving birth – here they are:

1. I’m Coming Out by Diana Ross – this is my absolute favorite  – so positive and from the baby’s point of view, love love love it!

The time has come for me
To break out of the shell
I have to shout
That I’m coming out

I’m coming out
I want the world to know
Got to let it show
I’m coming out
I want the world to know
I got to let it show

2. Happy Birthday by your favorite artist – does this really need an explanation?

3. When a Child is Born by Il Divo – yes I know it’s a Christmas carol, so what?

A ray of hope flickers in the sky
A tiny star lights up way up high
All across the land dawns a brand new morn
This comes to pass when a child is born

A silent wish sails the seven seas
The winds of change whisper in the trees
And the walls of doubt crumble tossed and torn
This comes to pass, when a child is born

4. From This Moment On by Shania Twain – how moving is this!

From this moment life has begun
From this moment you are the one
Right beside you is where I belong
From this moment on

From this moment I have been blessed
I live only for your happiness
And for your love I’d give my last breath
From this moment on

I give my hand to you with all my heart
Can’t wait to live my life with you, can’t wait to start
You and I will never be apart
My dreams came true because of you

5. Isn’t She Lovely by Stevie Wonder – if you’re having a girl like me 🙂 I love the “made from love” part! 🙂

Isn’t she lovely
Isn’t she wonderful
Isn’t she precious
Less than one minute old
I never thought through love we’d be
Making one as lovely as she
But isn’t she lovely made from love

Isn’t she pretty
Truly the angel’s best
Boy, I’m so happy
We have been heaven blessed
I can’t believe what God has done
Through us he’s given life to one
But isn’t she lovely made from love
