What a change after cruising the Caribbean! Finally a country full of history, culture, in which so many famous writers, economists and doctors were born and created their most famous works!
Alexander Graham Bell, James Watt, Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, Adam Smith, Robert Louis Stevenson, James Simpson.
As for the weather – we used both our sunglasses and umbrella! I was pretty wrapped up – with my winter coat, scarf, hat and gloves in use. But we saw several locals dressed in just a t-shirt!
And the food – well, after all we are in Great Britain so we did not have high expectations, and in fact, all I managed to find acceptable in the pub menu was a baked potato, as I did not feel like experimenting with hagis!
Beautiful city, lovely people, such a welcoming country, I will definitely come back to see the Loch Ness Monster 🙂
